This site is static. There are no accounts. We do not keep a list of readers. The newsletter form in the footer is not connected, so it does not take an email address. Use the RSS feed for new pages. Write to hello@technogecko.net.

Ads

Pages load Google’s AdSense script. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads. That includes Google’s DART cookie and other advertising cookies. Those cookies let Google and its partners show ads based on your visit here and on other sites.

You can turn off personalized ads in Google Ads Settings. You can opt out of some other advertising cookies at aboutads.info.

Amazon links

Some pages link to Amazon through the Amazon Associates program. If you follow one of those links, Amazon may set a cookie so it can tell that the visit came from this site. What Amazon does after that is covered by Amazon’s own privacy policy. The price you pay does not change. Affiliate disclosure says which links those are.

Hosting

Cloudflare hosts the site. A request goes through Cloudflare, which keeps logs to run the network. A log can include the address you asked for, your IP address, and the browser you used. We do not add a separate analytics tool on top of that.

On your device

Search runs in your browser against a static index. It does not send the query to us. The light or dark theme is stored in this browser under the key set in the brand file. That value stays on your device.
